Design Philosophy

Mehfils… they’ve never really been about the music, the chai, or the mithai. They’re about the people who bring them to life. The cousins you laugh with until your stomach hurts. The aunties who pile food on your plate, no matter how much you protest, the friends who somehow turn an ordinary evening into a story you’ll tell for years.

Our mehfils are loud, colourful, gloriously messy. A little chaotic, yes, but always filled with love. Because in the end, it’s about being together with the people you love.

It’s about joy that doubles when it’s shared. The love that feels louder in a room full of laughter, and those bonds jo ek mamuli si mehfil ko bhi aur khaas bana dete hain.

Poetry

An Ode to Sahir Ludhianvi

چہرے پے خوشی چھا جاتی ہے آنکھوں میں سرور آجاتا ہے
Chehre pe khushi chha jaati hai, aankhon mein suroor aa jaata hai

جب تم مجھے اپنا کہتے ہو اپنے پہ غرور آجاتا ہے
Jab tum mujhe apna kehte ho, apne pe ghuroor aa jaata hai

Translation:

Happiness spreads across my face, and a bliss fills my eyes,
When you call me yours, a sweet pride rises within me.

Care Instructions

To ensure that it remains as beautiful as the day you first wore it:

  • Dry Clean Only: To preserve the beauty and integrity of your garment and handwork, please have it dry cleaned. This will ensure the fabric and delicate details remain in perfect condition for years to come.

  • No Tumble Drying: The gentle nature of silk and handwork doesn't fare well with the rough tumble of a dryer. Instead, after cleaning, lay the garment flat on a clean towel to air dry in the shade. This will help preserve its softness and keep the embroidery intact.

  • Avoid perfumes on Handwork: Avoid spraying perfume or deodorants directly onto the Handwork, as these may cause discoloration or damage to the embroidery.

  • Iron with Care: Should you need to iron, turn the garment inside out and use a low-heat setting. For the Handwork area, place a cloth between the iron and the fabric to protect the delicate hand embroidery from direct heat.

  • Storing Your Garment: When you’re not wearing it, fold it gently with tissue paper over handwork and place it on a flat surface.

  • Guard Against Humidity and Light: Store your garment in a place free of humidity and direct sunlight, so it can continue to bring joy for years to come.

  •  A Final Thought: This garment is more than just fabric—it's a piece of artistry. Treat it with the love and care it deserves, and it will reward you by maintaining its elegance through many occasions to come.
