آنکھ میں پانی رکھو ہونٹوں پہ چنگاری رکھو
Aankh mein paani rakho, honton pe chingaari rakho
زندہ رہنا ہے تو ترکیبیں بہت ساری رکھو
Zinda rehna hai to tarkeeben bohat saari rakho
راہ کے پتھر سے بڑھ کر کچھ نہیں ہیں منزلیں
Raah ke patthar se barh kar kuch nahin hain manzilein
راستے آواز دیتے ہیں سفر جاری رکھو
Raaste awaaz dete hain, safar jaari rakho
ایک ہی ندی کے ہیں یہ دو کنارے دوستو
Ek hi nadi ke hain yeh do kinaare dosto
دوستانہ زندگی سے موت سے یاری رکھو
Dostana zindagi se, maut se yaari rakho
آتے جاتے پل یہ کہتے ہیں ہمارے کان میں
Aate jaate pal yeh kehte hain hamare kaan mein
کوچ کا اعلان ہونے کو ہے تیاری رکھو
Kooch ka elaan hone ko hai, taiyaari rakho
یہ ضروری ہے کہ آنکھوں کا بھرم قائم رہے
Yeh zaroori hai ke aankhon ka bharam qaaim rahe
نیند رکھو یا نہ رکھو خواب معیاری رکھو
Neend rakho ya na rakho, khwaab mayari rakho
Translation:
Keep tenderness in your eyes, and fire upon your lips.
If you wish to survive, keep many ways and wisdoms within you.
Destinations are nothing greater than the stones upon the road.
The roads themselves call out: continue your journey.
These two shores belong to the same river, my friends.
Live in friendship with life, and keep peace with death.
Passing moments whisper softly into our ears—
The call to depart may come anytime; remain prepared.
It is necessary that the dignity of the eyes remains intact.
Whether you sleep or not, keep your dreams worthy and beautiful.
