Design Philosophy

Everyone talks about how beautiful pearls are. But hardly anyone thinks about what they go through to become one.
It’s easy to just admire their shine and appreciate how delicate they seem.

But if you ever try breaking one, you’ll realize that you can’t. A pearl is born from a wound.

When something rough enters the shell, and instead of rejecting it, the oyster begins to protect itself. Layer by layer, it covers that pain until it turns it into something beautiful.

Dur-e-fishan Shawl is a reminder that people are kind of the same. They go through things that change them. It’s never easy, but every time they heal, they become quieter, softer even, but stronger in ways the world can’t always see.

Poetry

An Ode To Jigar Moradabadi

Jo toofanon mein palte ja rahe hain

Wohi duniya badalte ja rahe hain

Nikharta aa raha hai rang-e-gulshan

Khas-o-khaashak jalte ja rahe hain

Wahin main khaak udti dekhta hoon

Jahan chashme ubalte ja rahe hain

Translation:

Those who are nurtured amidst storms
They are the ones changing the world.
The colors of the garden are growing brighter,
As the weeds and dry leaves burn away.
I see dust rising from the same place
Where new springs are beginning to flow.
