پربتوں کے پیڑوں پر شام کا بسیرا ہے
Parbaton ke pedon par shaam ka baseera hai

سرمئی اجالا ہے چمپئی اندھیرا ہے
Surmai ujala hai, champeyi andhera hai

دونوں وقت ملتے ہیں دو دلوں کی صورت سے
Dono waqt milte hain do dilon ki soorat se

آسماں نے خوش ہو کر رنگ سا بکھیرا ہے
Aasmaan ne khush ho kar rang sa bikhaira hai

ٹھہرے ٹھہرے پانی میں گیت سرسراتے ہیں
Thehray thehray paani mein geet sarsaraate hain

بھیگے بھیگے جھونکوں میں خوشبوؤں کا ڈیرا ہے
Bheegay bheegay jhonkon mein khushbuon ka dera hai

کیوں نہ جذب ہو جائیں اس حسیں نظارے میں
Kyun na jazb ho jaayein is haseen nazaray mein

روشنی کا جھرمٹ ہے مستیوں کا گھیرا ہے
Roshni ka jhirmat hai, mastiyon ka ghera hai

Translation:

Evening has settled upon the trees of the mountains
There’s a silvery twilight and a soft golden darkness
Both times of day meet like two hearts coming together
The sky, in joy, has scattered its colors
In the still waters, songs gently whisper
In the damp, drifting breezes, fragrances dwell
Why shouldn’t we dissolve into this beautiful sight?
There’s a cluster of light and a circle of ecstasy
